Kevin Love video breakdown of his 31 point 20 rebound performance

There’s not a bigger box score filler than Kevin Love. When you look at Kevin Physically he doesn’t blow you away. He’s a big kid with good size, but really isn’t that imposing. What makes him a special player is that he’s one of the smartest players in the NBA. He’s the best rebounder in the NBA because he has a knack for knowing where the ball is going to be.

Kevin is a tremendous offensive rebounder. His activity level is off of the charts. HIs activity level combined with his basketball IQ makes him one of the toughest big men in the league to shut down.

Tonight he operated out of the high post and was a terror. It wasn’t his scoring from isolations and post ups that was his biggest weapon. Kevin had 9 offensive rebounds (20 for the game). Make sure you watch his activity level when the ball goes up in the air. He’s great at positioning himself for rebounds and his arms are always up ready to tip at it. Love has a great feel for the game.

What Kevin lacks in athletic ability and explosiveness he more than makes up for with his basketball IQ, rebounding, and shot making.
